Why are people afraid to post their faces on this forum

No different to posting on instagram or other social medias. Sure what ur posting might be more sensitive but who really gives a shit. and its not like any of ur irls will see, unless u tell them

Whether it’s fair or not, this site is associated with all sorts of negative things that I don’t want my face associated with. And maybe this is just me but I can see someone’s face on here and remember it years later, so I feel like if I were to post it would follow me forever.

Also the anonymity helps me get some really honest stuff out of my system, that there’s nowhere else but here that I can.

Privacy as principle is a lost art. We’re already well into the panopticon surveillance era and now entering its next stage of facial recognition, AI, and deepfakes, it’s a good idea to never post your face on the internet at all.
