They act HIGH T and ogre-like but they aren't most of them are brown eyed, sometimes brown skinned, and short on average, they are not really threatening at all, the real ogres are the Germans.

Uhh idk I'm pretty dark and swarthy (my nose being slightly flared and my lips being fairly thick and also only having hazel green eyes and dark blonde hair) for a russian not churka tier tho and irl the most ethnicity guesses I've gotten was still europe north of the alps with many even saying I look British (I think that was actually the most common). Beacuse of my location I'm also tan whilst my natural skin colour is very pale. My mother who is less swarthy then me her most common guess is swedish. All of my great grandparents on her dads and further were all blue eyes blond hair and 6ft+ INCLUDING her great grandmother who was 6'2.

He is from Ukraine and it has both lighter and darker phenos, and many are mixed. You can read about the history of cossaks (tldr they were not fully slavs, often pretty mixed with ethnicities of nearby regions, but were mostly of Orthodox faith, with some of them being Unian or going Catholic).
Plus, USSR had a lot of population mobility - people migrated thousands km voluntary and involuntary, there were mass evacuations during ww2, mass construction sites, mass deportations of some ethnicities.

It's not really the Balkan admix(except maybe the part near Moldova). Tatars, cirkassians, some Turk. But not all are mixed, and northern, north-west part was more Slavic. Russia has more of finno-ugrish, east baltid and some tatar mixture.
Also, North Caucasians weren't very frequent travelers to northern regions, but South Russia was populated with cossaks (a lot moved there from Ukraine in 18th century after the Dnipro region Sech was disbanded), Don cossaks (basically slavs who ran away from being slave peasants in Central Russia and got mixed with cirkassian and other ethnicities there, while preserving their faith) and ofc "natives" (circassians and other North Caucasus ethnicities).
