the reason why there are no ‘trends’ going on is because many of these ‘trends’ tend to get written off as a cope especially with the fact that a lot more people are aware of the looks theory that applies, people stopped doing their hobbies and end up writing them as a cope subconsciously and blame it on “muhhh dopamines fried” no it’s because you’re subhuman and deep down you know that no amount of guitar playing, skateboarding, reading, art, gym, or any of that shit is gonna change the fact that you’re not desirable. hobbies used to be a distraction, a patchwork over the wound, but once people woke up to how much looks and social genetics dominate your entire value in this world, they just gave up. you’re not doing it because you’re “burnt out,” you’re not doing it because your “dopamine’s wrecked,” you just know it’s not gonna fix anything. that’s why majority of people are in this dead zone now. no trend, no hype, just quiet misery, how it should be
