Why are trade jobs seen as bad?

Jfl its honest work and pays well and you also don't have to go through sjw bs which is college and rack up debt to work in some cubical. IMO trade jobs are best especially for men as you don't have to interact with soy guzzling people and rather down to earth people.

It's always the parents projecting their insecurities and failures onto kids forcing them to elevate them with the magic pill of degree that will solve everything and people of average intelligence that majored in liberal arts who look lower at people who didn't bother pursuing their overissued degree or opted for a career which collective conscience sees as diminishing. They do not care about how much money someone makes, how intelligent he is nor what does he have to offer or say, their mindset or borderline worthless degree gives them accreditation of being a smart or right person while you are not and that's the bottom line. I encountered some parents stressing, yelling, punishing their kids cause they do not have perfect grades and i see mothers threatening their kids on street while pointing at garbage men saying how they will become like them if they don't study, not realizing that garbage men have bigger salaries than teachers here.

My mom is forcing me into getting a degree lmao. Foreign parents are the worst when it comes to this, no vision. Only a shit dream of “success” that you will not attain after you drop thousands on some degree

because a degree is seen as a status symbol and manual labor is seen as "low class" work even though these "low class" workers are probably making 5x what someone with a grad degree and 15 years of experience at their "cushy office job" is making with a GED and some certificates from a 3 month long course

BUT college is worth it if you're going to become a doctor/dentist/investment banker/very high wage or if youre going for free, but in any other case its not very worth it.
