Multiple reasons, I think. The original Turks lived side by side with the Mongols, who went on to create the largest empire of the world and they were very brutal. They also joined them in their armies I think. This gave them knowledge in warfare and how to conquer others. Then they displaced the Iranian peoples in Central Asia with the knowledge they had. Then eventually when they ruled/settled in West Asia. Maybe it’s a generational thing now because modern-day Turkish people are genetically Anatolian and barely have Turkic ancestry from what I’ve seen online, but I could be wrong about that. Since they’re genetically Anatolian, maybe they remember that their current identity that they embraced was imposed on them, but still accept. And maybe Ancient Greece had a role to play as well, being neighbors to Spartans after all, another martial group. Idk. Just theorizing what it could be.

U2 has different branches. Europeans have U2e, Central Asians like the Nogai have U2d, and South Asians have U2a, U2b and U2c, with U2c being considered a sister branch of U2d. Most South Asians by far though have M haplogroups in terms of mtDNA.
