I always thought it was just a way for the admins to make fun of us if we made dumb threads or if we posted our face, some shit like that. Like there's no way to go back.

I'm a CScel and without sounding like a nerd and going into too much detail deleting posts from forums like these generally puts a lot of load on the server especially cascading deletions like deleting thread due to which you have to delete all the comments in the thread as well and because master probably chose the cheapest web hosting servers to deploy this forum most likely the older ones that use an indexing model. Deleting posts all the time can lag the website a lot and compromise on the security of the entire website.
