I'm considering it. I can't stand Wheat Waffles

I want to make a personal blogging channel and upload nice looking videos at least once a month tbh

It's easy tbh Idk why more ppl don't do it you can legit pay someone on Fiverr like $40 for a decently edited video pay $20 for a scriptwriter, make the thumbnail yourself then voiceover yourself

you have to sell yourself out in order to become a big "influencer"

so people like me will prefer being regular ordinary people

you make 100 videos thats $6000 and lets be real, no well edited video is going to be $40 big time youtubers are paying like 1k per video or more

I've made 34 videos on my cash cow channel and it's at 8.9m views total.
I automate everything for about $400 per video right now the majority of the cost comes from fucking voiceovers. I make $7k monthly from Ad sense alone + around $1,200 per sponsor on each video, I haven't even hit 100k subs yet JFL.

It's definitely worth it depending on the niche of course if you're fin/business you're bound to make a shit ton of cash. When I started I was paying around $50 for editing alone did the script writing voiceover and thumbnail creation myself would around a day. If it takes you 100 videos to get good then Idk for you took me 5 videos until my channel was monetized

What sort of videos you make? Everything is so oversaturated these days, it's hard to find a good topic to base a channel around. A blackpill/doomer channel I had was at around 600 subs and averaging around 1.2k views per video (i had about 14 videos) but idk if blackpill stuff is a good topic to build a channel around.

Also the reason it's not worth it is because its so difficult. Your success is based on looks or luck, which means only 1% of people who want to be an eceleb will actually be successful. Plus no Internet career is future proof.

No blackpill stuff isn't a good topic and I make economic docs if you call it that videos like "How Rwanda went from genocide to africas greatest economy "

lOOOL shout out to you for making my day. I love laughing at how dumb some people can be
There are dozens of high quality channels that make no income or get barely any views, it's largely about being favoured by the algorithm

I haven't got a clue about economics, mogs me. I was gonna try some true crime type videos or videos about serial killers/criminals but I thought that type of content wouldnt be popular or has been done too much. Video game essays would be cool but again there's way too many channels with that type of content. It's hard to find content worth doing since there's very little that isn't being done by a million other people

that doesnt mean success is based on luck, you dont need to start a youtube channel to get wealthy

god damn this is comical.

"Why arent you a Big Youtuber/Influencer ?"

Fails to mention hes not a big youtuber or influencer

Yeah I know wealth can be acquired in other ways plus I'm not trying to get rich off youtube since its very difficult. I just wanna make a chanel for statusmaxxing purposes and for a hobby. Success also is basically luck on the platform, many youtubers get favoured by the algorithm which allows them to increase their subs whereas others don't. Of course putting in effort will be nessacary regardless but ultimately what it comes down to is the algorithm and how common the type of content you make is.

for 1, its not luck, almost every huge person on the platform has been using it for 5-10 years. YEARS. not luck at all, there are things you can do to be favored by the algorithm, the algorithm doesnt just randomly blow up a channel, it takes alot of skill and consistency, luck is only 10-25% of the equation for most people on youtube

because nobody knows how to edit a yhoutube vidfeo

The point is only a handful out of a dozen people will be successful hence why barely anyone tries to make channels since most of the time it goes nowhere

People make channels all the time wtf are you talking about. And even though not many people are successful the ones that are have not made it to where they are with luck

Exactly, people make channels and give up when it gets nowhere. People who started years ago built their channel up because the competition wasn't as harsh but cos now everyone is trying to get on youtube only the lucky ones or those who cheat the algorithm will succeed. I watch channels that have very good content but little subs all the time.

I actually made a video and got 40k views i gave up tho cuz it was a short video 3 minutes about minecraft. it was about a mod of a show which was popular at the time. I actually would like to continue with youtube but im not sure what type of videos to make.
