most people think failure is what ruins you
but for a lot of guys, real collapse starts after they ascend
especially if it happens fast, and from a low baseline (like ltn or sub5)
this is because your identity forms during years of rejection, invisibility, and low social value
if you suddenly gain looks/status, your brain doesn’t adapt instantly, your nervous system is still wired for scarcity — not abundance
this creates a mismatch: externally, you’re being treated like a high-value male but internally, you still feel like a low-tier outcast
so you can’t trust the new attention, you think it’s fake or conditional (which it is) you assume people only like you for your appearance (which is also true) and paranoia starts creeping in
which can lead to self destruction
cutting people off even if they didn’t change
sabotaging relationships before they grow
thinking you’re better than people (as a cope for still feeling insecure)
dropping routines because “you made it” already
you start chasing validation to keep the high going but it never hits the same — because your brain was never built to process it and because there’s no core identity behind the glow-up, just trauma and compensation, you break - no foundation, no stable personality — just reactions and dopamine loops
true ascension means updating both your appearance and your identity model. otherwise, your life will upgrade — but you won’t know how to live in it.
