Why Batman is so suspicious of teammates

We all know (I assume) that batman is known for being a bit suspicious of his teammates, coming up with measures to stop them all as was demonstrated in the Tower of Babel in the 2000s

But why would he do this?

Well there’s 2 main reasons

1) batman has no actual metahuman or supernatural powers so he must compensate with his iq and intuition, if they ever went rogue it’s not like he can just throw them into space like superman, he must plan it carefully to ensure the safety of the world

2) brother eye/omac incidents, in the 2000s some may know ralph and sue dibny, members of the justice league, but one thing that isn’t as widely known is that a villain, dr light snuck onto the justice league satellite, basically the base, and sa d her. When he wouldn’t stop bragging about it the league voted to wipe his memory, Batman found out and was furious, they then voted to wipe his mind as well

Upon finding out he was extremely annoyed and distrustful of them completely which lead to a huge surveillance system being put in place which helps ensure incidents like this don’t get covered up in future
