Why Can't We Make Drafts?

I want to start writing a thread but I won't publish now, I wish I could just start writing, save it and then come later to finish and publish it

I have three megatrends ideas that I would like to post but I'm too lazy to do just one of them in one day.
1.) No draft option to make it doable across a week

2) Don't like keeping a tab open because it adds to my time spent for some damn reason, even if I'm not online

3.) Having a tab open also prevents me from making any other small threads, so either I delete my progress or just forget about making the small thread

Can relate, I have like 6 or 8 megathread ideas and it'd be way easier to do them if I could make drafts
