It’s not only because of bruxism. IMO this is what happened:

Most human faces continue to fill out a little bit as they get older, due to weight gain and the bone structure of the face still growing. The extent of how much it grows after teenage-hood depends on the person. Brooke is a very tall, not necessarily small boned woman, who continued to grow to six feet after she was 16. Most females reach their full adult height in their early teens. Her propensity to continue to grow most likely affected her facial growth.

She also has delicate facial features. Her nose is tiny, and her mouth, while possessing full lips, is actually sort of small, with a relatively narrow palate. These delicate features look better on a face with less robust bones, with a narrower jawline. This is why I think Brooke Shields turned out to be less beautiful after 18 years old. Her delicate features didn’t match her more robust, adult bone structure

ETA: one thing I forgot to mention is Brooke stated she didn’t menstruate until after she was 16. This is very late. I know that puberty fuses the growth plates, so the later one experiences puberty, the taller one has the potential to grow. This is probably why Brooke continued to grow so tall at so late an age for a female

She was never feminine nor ideal, she always looked giga masculine with the 6’ height and massive jaw. Watch any movie from the ‘90s, Gen X actresses fogged hard, you could probably find hundreds of random ones who fogged Shields to oblivion.
