For high IQ blacks it's usually a result of insecurity due to not feeling like they can ever fully integrate into white society

After a certain point this insecurity develops into a neurotic focus on skin color to the point it becomes a defining attribute of their life

And then the lower IQ blacks just adopt this as a scapegoat for their failures

I saw it personally with my mom who had success in "white society" only for her to become very unnecessarily pro black later on in life

Being around white people all her life she must have never truly felt like part of the group and may have realized (potentially accurately) that she could never fully assimilate and so her focus turned to trying to aggressively assimilate with her own ethnicity
