Africans are definitely musically talented, but this is also very true. In the 50s and such in America, there were much more Italian ancestry singers (Sinatra, Dean Martin, Jimmy Durante, Luciano Pavarotti), but nowadays you dont get many talented Italian ancestry singers.

So its to do with both culture and genetics (captain obvious I know).
