I can do 2 sets of 10 of an exercise, and then I can only do like 4 the next set. I feel like if I go any lighter I’m not pushing myself. Should I just go lighter anyway so I can do 3-4 sets of 10?

It means youre training to failure/ near failure which is good. Thats pretty much how I train.

Thanks for answer I have same problem, I try to do 3x8 but I get muscle failure on some exercises before I finish third set.

Good, but lower the weight so you can get in more volume

once your comfortable with that weight, increase it till you can get good volume on that too

keep increasing and you will get bigger, this is called progressive overload and its the main driver of growth in natties

Just go lighter, you should only be struggling hard in the last set.

How long are you waiting between sets?

Incel genetics + lack of steroids

you just needs to lower weights by ~10% so the set still remains reasonable hard and you can do 3rd set too till 10

ok this is what I was wondering. thanks.

90 seconds
Try waiting a bit longer like double that time and trying to get the weight up 10 times again.

What do you think of doing 2 sets of each exercise, and then starting over again doing 2 more sets of each? That would give me a lot of rest time. The question is does rest time affect gains?

It affects gains if you don’t give yourself enough time between sets to the point where you can’t get the weight up anymore..

It also affects things if you take like 10 minutes and completely lose your pump.

But 3 minutes is a good rest period time if you’re challenging yourself
