Why do I feel zero motivation to do anything in life? I feel as though I have a steady cognitive decline.

I just don't have the energy to do any work, I don't even have the drive to do shit.

Ngl I don't even see the point of posting this, I know I won't get a good answer out of it, but I feel like not going out of the house for the past fucking year has really taken a toll on me and my cognitive decline is so apparent. It's so brutal, I feel like I need a high dose of adderall to focus on anything.

Even when playing video games (which used to be my favorite thing to do) I struggle to even focus on the game. I always have to multi-task, listen to something on the side, or do anything BUT play the fucking game steadily for 5 minutes straight.

Dopamine detox, but thats hard during lockdown.

Best thing you can do is force yourself to read a book, 1hr a day reading minimum.

I feel like it goes deeper than just dopamine though. Just my lack of socialization and intimacy in general has really fucked me over. I was much better before, but now I'm just extremely lonely and hardly do anything with my days. I even dread waking up sometimes because of how predictable and routine-y my days have become.

I hate it.

Believe me I know, been rotting virtually 8 years non-stop xD.

Reading a fiction book is the best thing you can do, reading fiction lights up your brain in the same areas it does when socialising.

When you've had your hit of socialising (even if its fake and in your imagination only), you will feel much more at ease.

Because of degeneracy and industrialization.

You're young and low t and dumbed down from all the stuff in water and food and the people around you and the media you consume.

You have no family to provide for. You have no beloved because of hypergamy. You have no good friends because of demoralisation and you hate everyone you see because they've been demoralised and dumbed down.

And you have no meaning or purpose because of no religion.

It's over.

I've been in the same boat for 7 years with brief respites of low skill employment for some months here and there.

Yesterday i actually started working again a bit on my hobby of music production. It felt like a daunting task and it was, felt very scatterbrained and like i just wanted to go back to LDAR, but i told myself i would commit to one hour no matter what, and i did. The trick is to have very low expectations of yourself, for instance if you read just 2 pages of a book or whatever would be useful to you, you deserve a pat on the back and that day was a good day, that's the kind of mentality you should have, that way you are more likely to actually do it on a daily basis.

Do you have a higher purpose that your mindset is based upon? I think it's the key to intrinsic, long-running motivation

Wake up early. Write a list of things you want to do for the day. Set long term and short term goals.

Have you had lots of lockdowns, restrictions etc during covid? Feeling the same way as you about a lot of things. Wasn't as bad before covid but now I've lost sight of so many goals as so many things have just became repetitive and boring. Where I live the restrictions haven't been that bad as I've still been able to meet girls from Tinder, meeting family and working out at the gym. However, world feels so much smaller and you get the feeling that lots of things don't matter, even looksmaxxing as you hardly meet any new people. Being in the apartment 95 % of the day makes me feel like a caged rat.

If you are anything like me I think it will get better once the world opens up and there are more social gatherings, possibilities of travelling etc. What you talk about sounds like depression but many parts of the world is depressive as a whole atm due to restrictions.

My life used to be a lot better pre-COVID. Now I pretty much lost all my friends and never leave the house. It's funny because from November of 2019 to March of 2020 life was good, then it all went downhill.

It was my best shot at having a good life and being NT again, but then it got fucked up by a virus.

I also like music production its a good hobby for an incel tbh cause you dont gotta leave your room and I can apply the music lessons I learned as a ricecel growing up.

you need a hobby
It's a suboptimal substitute (cope) for living the Chadlite slayer dream. But it's the best of copes.

Plus if you get good at your hobbies, especially if it's something creative like video editing or music production, it could someday lead to famemaxxing.

You don't even need to be able to play an instrument to make music with a DAW, just some basic music theory knowledge that you can learn on the old jewtube in 30 minutes.

What DAW you using? I just upgraded from ableton live 9 to 10. Max for live is pretty dope.

Facts, I used to play everyday the whole day, now I turn on a game for 5 minutes, switch it cause I got bored, put on another game, and repeat 5 more times until I turn it off and get on my phone

Does Donald Duck also count as fiction ?

cope music production is difficult af and requires lots of knowledge and practice
Yes the production itself is hard to learn but in terms of music theory all you really need to know is what a key is, how to stick to that, and how to form chords.
