Because you let them get away with it. Younger girls are bad. I used to teach middle schoolers. One time I told this especially disrespectful girl to leave the classroom. Of course she ignored me. So what did I do? I calmly picked up all the shit off her desk, books and whatnot, walked to the door and threw it all out into the hallway. Then I closed the door and went on teaching like nothing happened. Then she sat there crying silently. After the class was over we had a little discussion. Never had a problem out of her again.

The key is remaining calm while refusing to allow anyone to disrespect you.
