Why do I get homicidal ideation

Back in June I had a homicidal ideation episode that was severe. I almost did something extremely shameful and heinous

Yes idk what's wrong with us fucked up being a. Whenever I'm around weapons I get thoughts of using them on people around me and just imagining what it would look and feel like I also get repetitive nightmares.
