I have a very good frame, 16 inch calves and 16 inch neck and I barely train them.

I have been training my arms with good technique for almost 2 years and they are only 15 inches. Is this because of bad arm genetics or why? Most dudes have arms that are bigger than their calves and neck.

Yeah but my calves are 41 with barely any training. Most dudes get 41 calves after years of training.

you would think that my arms would keep up or be even bigger but they don’t

I have like 12.5 inch arms after 2 years of training, grow up

Arm specialisation or death tbh, same for me.

If you have small joints your biceps are unlikely to get bigger than 16" or so. Just how it is. Mine used to be 16" and I'm adjusting my training to prioritise arms to get them from 15>16. It's also a matter of how lean you are.

I have 7” wrists which is more than enough to have 16-17 inches

It’s probably because you lack androgen receptors in your arms for them to grow quickly. Most people have weak points and strong points and that’s mainly due to androgen receptor concentration, like for me, my strong points are lats and legs, but my arms are also a weak point. You just need to keep on training arms, maybe throwing in a specialised arm day and they should grow eventually. Taking PEDs if you’re desperate will also help massively. Am I correct in this statement @Arborist ?

Also you won’t get 17 inch arms in two years unless you’re extremely genetically gifted for arms and have 8 inch wrists or taking PEDs

Everything is my strong point tbh except for arms.

I won’t take peds because I’ve only been training consistently for 1.5 year. Not worth it yet. And even if I took them, my arms would still lack because it’s genetics.

I don’t count on it. I just mean that it’s my max genetic potential

I guess it’s just your arms that are a weakness; maybe do less volume for your strong points and direct it to growing your arms so your body looks proportional. I’ve stopped training legs because they look too big compared to my upper body jfl.

yes, most guys their receptors are in their traps and chest, ironically having them in your shoulders is less common else every roider would have huge shoulders but most don't.

It seems most guys have either great shoulders or a great chest, it’s rare to find guys who have both.

most pressing motions tax your shoulder joint and rotator cuff so you can't progress much on shoulder movements if you specialize in bench.

Any way around that if you still want to bench ?

you can progress in one while you allow the other to stagnate and vice versa, most guys make the mistake of trying to be good at both which doesn't work at least not at the same time, you will just be mediocre at both.

For example, if my main compound movement for push day 1 is the bench press and for push day 2 is the OHP, would that be way to taxing on my joints ? Shouldn’t these exercises compliment each other since OHP can help with upper chest and Bench can help with Front delt ?

you can do both, but both will not progress at the same time unless you are a beginner to intermediate, even if there's days between them.

they don't compliment each other, both fatigue the same joints.

I think I just reached intermediate level so I guess I still don’t need to specialise. I haven’t done too much shoulder work though so I need to focus on that more.

The rest of your upper body is skinny too. You can’t know until you bulk and gain muscle, but your arms look better than mine when I was your weight
A foid said i look big in this shirt lol

Do bicep curls, tricep extensions, hammer curls, wrist curls. My arms were loose in small shirts now it looks somewhat good in medium
