What is the link between balding and the bump?

Bc they're subhuman

There is none. Most people have that bump, you can see it on them because they are bald.

Most people certainly don't have such bump. Men who aren't bald but shave their head most often don't.

One explanation is small temporalis proportion, which is associated witha skeletal bump on the top of the head:

But is the bump on bald men skeletal? It looks like hardened soft tissue.

my dad is completely bald and doesnt have any bump whatsoever along with many others. this is just cherrypicking bald people with a particular skull shape.

I am not saying all bald people have it. You can obviously go bald for many different reasons. But the bump DOES occur with a prevalence that raises some questions.

increased calcification of the skull accumulating there perhaps? idk what else could cause a boney change that has any relation to known balding mechanisms

The calcification theory is a strong contender in my view. On the other hand, if the bump is skeletal, then it could possibly cause unfavorable stretching of the galea. Is it a coincidence that pattern baldness often begins at the top of the head?
