Ive always noticed a weird smell from black people and never knew what it was until i smelled castor oil. Its like a weird chemical-burnt smell

I had a family member who was in prison who said there was a black man who used some kind of weird smelling lamp oil in his hair and the dude said it prevented balding
I think he was talking about castor oil, high concentrations of it smell like noxious 2-stroke oil you would use in a moped. lol
