The problem is, everyone acts this way, its because being direct towards someone would be seen as rude, its very socially acceptable to straight up lie, you have to beat around the bush, make what you are trying to say more convoluted, i guess people do this because they know others will try to find hidden motives or take truths as backhanded compliments because so many people are passive aggressive. They talk in vibes and emotions, its hard to translate that into the truth hidden behind what they are talking about, but I can understand why people do this.
