Why do normies like potlucks and work events?

How are they all so comfortable with each other and willing to spend their own money to have a potluck with their normie coworkers who they see every day?

At my old job I never participated in anything work related. If a potluck or work event was on the horizon I’d either call in sick that day or just go to work and ignore everyone

Work to me is something painful and I only do it for money. I do the bare minimum and try to cheat my way to an easier way of getting paid. I hate normies and I love sitting alone staring at the wall talking to God 24/7 with vodka
