Why do parents put so much emphasis on education but not on looks?

If I told my parents about the procedures I've had recently, they'd call me crazy. Yet, they're still getting on my nerves about my studies. As if there's any merit to having a degree when you're a subhuman reject.

The difference in quality of life between looking good and having a stupid ass degree while being subhuman isn't even comparable.

People will watch their kids grow into abominations and do absolutely nothing about it while at the same time driving them crazy when it comes to grades and education in general. Nothing but evil.

Fyi my degree from a top tier University and being an A grade student is practically useless.

I could of just faked it on my CV/Resume as they never even bother checking thats how pointless it is.

Not really, my degree didn't play a role in it. I worked shit jobs after graduating as no one hired ugly ethnics.

Literally 35 job interviews before getting a job. Treated like shit in most places i worked at tbh, expected to do the shit work and put up with shit attitudes.

Only reason i get paid alot now is because i am contracted in with multiple companies and skilled at what I do (from being given the shit work in the past)

As soon as my contracts are up im back in the shit storm.

Its why im trying to get all my surgeries done asap and get my business going. As this has no happy ending if i stay here.

not trying to act snarky but i remember what uni u went and it’s not a top one lol

they go through clearing with bcc grades often, maybe you got your job a long time ago but competition gets a lot harder every year. they only want top 20 u.k. uni graduates now

btw with ur grades you could have went to a better one i think

aab is enough for mostly every uni in the u.k. apart from oxbridge and oxbridge reject unis like durham and warwick

Yeah i got A Biology A economics B chemistry.

This was when i had no understanding of anything so was grateful to get in (it was an amazing university and had great housemates to go out with). Happy i went there even to this day.

University is for the social aspect anyway.

You have to understand, no one taught me about Universities, no one even bothered taking me to the open days, i just showed up after being accepted.

Just remember i was never born rich, i just got lucky with inheritance and london house prices. My roots are on welfare in what used to be a shit area of East London.

After you graduate, They don't really require the grades tbh its the looks and temperament, the people who go to Durham and Oxford look middle class and english and somewhat attractive, that gets the job.

no firm will hire mohammed Iqbal from Somalia who got a 1st in Sociology at KCL. If they do he is either a token minority or a spit bucket doing the shit work.

You overestimate grades and underestimate social perceptions.
