why do people brag about being addicted to drug but don’t brag about being addicted to McDonald’s?

If addiction is so embarrassing and hurtful how come guys and girls are so quick to be like “oh I was addicted to cocaine for 10 years” but if someone has an addiction to fast food they’ll never admit it

It's edgy and thrill seeking and we subconsciously perceive it as cool you are challenging your instincts and fears when you go into addiction
