A little of downgrowth is good, i don't think a minecraft jaw would suit you tbh.

Yes you can get jaw widening with bimax but the shape of the gonions will be the same and you'll risk getting condyle problems and tmj.

Implants are better if you aren't actually reccesed or slightly reccesed so you won't be getting bimax, they make your jaw wider but with the cost of jaw dehiscence or "implant reveal" or the risk of looking uncanny.

Both are kind of high risk high reward but with implants you'll need a good design to suit your skull.

my jaw isn't recessed or anything I think, but its pretty narrow and like more in a C shape from the sides than an L shape if that makes sense, so would implants be better for me?

Yes, gonion implant for the V shape if you want to achieve that
