why do people make a big deal about benefits at jobs

When you’re hired everyone at work talks about pto and benefits and enrolling in medical and dental. I see that as basically getting your money and throwing it in the garbage. why would you wanna pay to go to the doctors? like I said before, if you’re sick, just go to the doctors and when they send the bill in the mail just rip it up and throw it away. If they call you, block them, if they email you ignore them. Problem solved

They wouldn’t arrest me for that though they’ll just write it off as a loss and it’ll go on my credit score and who cares because I don’t care about credit. Guess I’m just smarter than the average guy
