I am doing a masters in Electrical Engineering. I can't get an internship. Many Engineering masters students graduate unemployed. I may end up applying to PA or PT school if I can't get a job once I graduate. My older brother is pre med and has a masters in Biology. He can't get into med. school and can't find a good job.

My younger brother is doing a masters in accounting and got a $25 an hour internship for a nice company.

STEM is only good for pre doctors, pre PT, pre PA students or for nursing students. YES, accounting majors and CPAs actually get jobs easier than Engineering majors and work less hard through college.

If someone tells you to take a specific course in university, do the opposite of what they say

most people conflate STEM with Computers (computer science) they hear about engineers at Google starting at $100,000/year out of college, and think all new Engineers make that money. If you have a degree in computer science, or something similar, you are going to be in demand regardless of what school you went to. If you have a degree in some stagnant field like Chemical Engineering (me), Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering you are going to have to graduate from a good school just to get a job, and your opportunity for advancement is not going to be as good as those with computer science degrees. I suspect for electrical engineers it would help if you had a focus on computer electronics, but I don't have specific knowledge if they differentiate in that way.

People pretend like STEM is god or something. Bullshit

Stem is great.

Stem is great.
again, depends. IT and computer science are easy to get jobs. Doctors and nurses get jobs easy too.

Electrical Engineers..... it depends. They don't need that many of them.

Electrical engineering is the second most in demand. Computer science is on top.
If you arent getting a good job then you just arent good enough imo

I am getting a masters in this field and have a 3.0 GPA (2.8 required to stay on grad school.)Actually, not every company needs an electrical Engineer. I know a lot of people who did a m.s in accounting and actually are getting jobs easier. Almost every company needs an accountant.

I am from Texas btw.

When I was in 11th grade, I was thinking about doing med, until I realized how hard it is, how many years it takes (minimum 10 years) and how stressful life gets.

Then in 12th grade, I changed my mind and decided to do IT.
Now that I have finished high school, university starts in March. I am lucky I got in IT. I hope IT is doable.

Average salary for ITcels here in Australia is around 100k to 125k dollars.

These average salaries are way off ded srs.
In reality more like 70-90k
100k+ maybe after 5-10 years, if you can get into a team management role

Electrical Engineering
Should've done Computer Engineering and you'd be getting a ton of job offers.

STEM is a meme.

The only jobs in STEM are IT/coding.

My friend got 100k (gross income ofc) in the first year right after he graduated from his 4 year degree in IT.
