Why do people say they married their best friend?

I think it's a bit cucked to say. Marriages aren't like that, they're conditional partnerships/alliances with a lot of unwritten terms (looks + height + anything else with leverage), not friendships. Historically, it's never been framed that way until the post WW2 culture.

If you're a man, the moment you lose anything like your money or health you will be treated worse than animals, you are only what you give.

Yes it always pisses me off when people say that, because in a majority of cases, there will be a dead bedroom and a divorce. If the man loses his job and needs to move across the states, the woman will often stay and divorce. If the man or woman is in a fire accident and has a burned face, the partner with a normal face will leave the one with a burned face.

IMO the best examples of best friends are either insanely strong marriages or a group of boys. Idk if girls are typically capable of having really good friendships that last, just because of their nature.
