I swear this tik tok scientist gotta be the dumbest people ever they believe that low cortisol is in some way good for you.
Cortisol is an essential hormone, not something that should be minimized at all costs. Chronically low cortisol can be just as harmful as high cortisol. There is so many problems that low cortisol causes such as, chronic fatigue and low energy,
brain fog, poor concentration
dizziness especially when standing up due to low blood pressure,
hypoglycemia or low blood sugar,
poor stress tolerance where even minor stress feels overwhelming,
weak immune response,
nausea, abdominal pain, weight loss,
salt craving (due to low aldosterone in some cases), anxiety or depressive symptoms and in severe cases it can become life threatening. By their logic Addison’s disease is a good thing :lul:, when it causes the adrenal glands to fail to produce enough cortisol, often autoimmune in origin and
can also involve low aldosterone which all ends up in symptoms like, extreme fatigue, low blood pressure, weight loss,
hyperpigmentation (darkening of skin),
electrolyte imbalances and risk of adrenal crisis during stress or illness. So no low cortisol doesn't mean calm or healthy as
cortisol is required for: waking up, regulating blood sugar, handling stress and immune balance. Both chronically high and chronically low cortisol are bad — the goal is normal physiological levels, not suppression or "low cortisol good" :feelsuhh:.
If u don't know much about not just looksmaxing but also any other thing never use tik tok as a source of information i litteraly can't believe how many people believe in this crap beacuse of trends that have no idea what they are talking about.
