Why do people when they make jokes use hyperspecific terms, is this to appeal to a niche audience

For example, I saw a joke online a couple days ago

"Nah, bro really got pulverized by a General Atomics MQ-1 Predator with an AGM-114 Hellfire missile, that's crazy"

I've noticed this use of niche gigaspecific terms everywhere, not just this one time. Anybody else notice this online or irl?

Because it’s the current trend to do. Normies hop on literally any trend to fit in. I don’t consider myself a normie but I have a habit of doing normie things
