Why do people who have a good developed lower jaw still have crowding on bottom teeth?

it depends on ur mandible, outward. inward. it also depends how developed your masseter's are.

but if u have severly crowded teeth in the back and front. that can lead to mis develop jaw so until the person got like appliances (invisalign/Braces) his jaw would develop into the way it supposed to. ( your jawbone relies on your teeth for stimulation)

intermolar width pre modern food was 50-55mm so yeah, your upper jaw needs to be big enough so you can "mew" aka natural oral posture, if you have any crowding at all your palate is to small your teeth

you can have a "stout" jaw with narrow lower palate for your teeth. cavill is a mix of that

if cavill was on a hard diet since he was a kid, he'd come out as an ultra bone mogging caveman with a much wider palate for example
