Why do this guy's eyes not look bulgy from the front despite his eyeball being BEHIND HIS BROWRIDGE?

Please ignore the other aspects / flaws of this guy's eye area, I am strictly talking about how deep set his eyes appear in the front. His eyeball is legit behind his browridge and his orbital vector doesn't seem good either. Yet from the front his eyes don't have a bulgy look to them at all. How is this possible? What even determines how shallow / deep the eyes look in the front then?
