How do we know, for example, that all points in time aren't converging or diverging?

Time is probably fake

Time is an endless spectrum of now. There is no past. No future. It is always just now. But you can never truly be in the present, could you? From the time you started reading this exact word to the time you’re on this word, you went from past to present

and now it’s all in the past again. You see?

The opposite is true

There is no such thing as now, only the past and the future

The future doesn’t exist because we are constantly in the here and now. The future is an illusion. It’s an idea we give ourselves to find hope

Because you were wrong, there is no consensus on what is ontologically happening regarding quantum mechanics

It's not linear.
Read about retrocausality

If it's so stupid then you should be able to explain to me why time is linear

time is a measure of motion, its properties are identical to those of space

for convenience lol

because our point of reference is "old or young"

time doesn't exist (it's an emergent property of intricate interactions) but let's call it "motion" and our sense of going forward as "decay"

now imagine the universe as a singular point where motion wasn't possible for there was no sufficient spatial expansion for an object to move then accelerate the process where the universe is reaching heat death where everything isn't categorizable as old or young for decay is not ergo no sense of going forward let alone backwards

tl;dr: Tempus edax rerum

Time doesn’t exist. Everything that is happening is just happening

I'd say most people are open to the idea that time isnt linear and things happen in cycles these days.

There is a growing idea that the big bang is both the beginning of a new universe and the end of an old one.

Time is generated in the intra-actions between observer, apparatus, and phenomenon.

1. do you still believe this now. if so how do you frame the 'present moment' that is only relevant to you.
2. if you reach a ontological truth like this doesnt it negate nihilism? dont u need a new philosophy, eternalism ie
