Happens all the time. Whenever a white man or women marries an ethnic they and their family fully embraces their partners culture and are very eager to become a part of it. For example this is the most traditional attire for south Indian hindu wedding.
Even most pajeetas dont dress like this for a wedding these days with that traditional saree, henna tattoo covering her hands and those clunky gold jewellery pieces yet the white women insisted on wearing it. She is also eating food from Banana leaf and eating the most traditional dishes. Again something even most people living in that culture themselves don't do. She even made her brother wear ethnic clothes and he is also to eating the meal with his hands. Bro is struggling to eat with his hands and doesn't know how to do it but is still happy. I doubt any of them even understand why they are doing it or the significance of those rituals.
