Why do white people feel closer to Asian than Indian?

It seems like my school is segregated not by only races but skin color as well, skin color matters the most in mass segregation.


I usually see light skin Asian hanging out with white but never seen Indian with white.



Like imagine in a cohorts of hundres/thousand, the fastest way to grouping people up is to seperate by color bc it is the fastest.

Other reason would just be which group culturally assimilated more. In my experience 10% of both groups assimilate, 90% don't
