Soft tissue being held off the jawline. Women usually dont have sloping foreheads due to the fact that their faces dont grow very large relative to their braincase like how men do. When the face grows downwards, it worsens the gonial angle which in turn allows gravity to pull and sag soft tissues of the cheeks downwards making it appear bone less. The guy in the pic's gonial angle is high because his forehead (and as a result the rest of his face) bunches the soft tissues downwards. Men have on global average 11% more brain volume to deal with, so more neurocranium is needed.

That is a lot of of bone volume! Not even dolicephaly could help displace the forward weight of the facial growth!

Compare to a woman whose bones mature much earlier. Do you see the relationship with gonial angle and forehead?

Imo, for asthetics, the earlier you mature the less shitty the trajectory of your looks. If you keep growing your facial bones past 18, its one reason why prettyboy asthetics have an expiration date for men.

You have to have really good luck for this to happen, or else all that bone growth with fuck you in the opposite direction.

His case makes me wonder if the "angel" skull in women is actually the intended shape for male skulls, just that males skulls have so much continual growth that it almost always pushes the faces downwards. The symptom of it is the "masculine shape" which may not be the default destination for the growth, its just incidental but so overwhelmingly common to the male sex that we consider it an intrinsically masculine shape when it might be a mistake.

I'm from long before 2023, this is a new account.

Women tend to appear more forward grown at first glance due to having less growth in the upper maxilla and brow area, thus giving them a more anti-face look, and in theory they should have better jawlines due to less submental fat / muscle tissue and thinner skin, but on average, with the people I see outside, there is no disparity between how terrible either genders' jaw definition is.

If anything, I've seen more women on average with completely recessed jaws (chin inside neck) than men, although this isn't that common, even in a country as well renown for bad aesthetics as the one I'm in.

Sure, you could point to the theory, to the celebrities that provide evidence in favor of said theory, but the question was phrased generally, so I answered it generally.
