Why do you listen to music?

I don't know why but I don't get the appeal of having playlists and listening to music frequently.

It is more of a hassle to get everything started and the music playing when no music works much better.

I try put music on but then after a few songs play I get annoyed or bored or sick of listening to that song and turn it off.

Music burns out for me after about 2 or 3 listens. Or then I forget about my current favourite songs and lose them forever.

Tbh I only listen to music in the gym. It’s so boring and NPC-like to train without music blasting in your ears while lifting.

Of course other people can like music, and new songs can be fun to listen to. I just don't see the appeal in playlists and listening to music long term/regularly
