Because we are some of the shortest people from Europe. Most Romanians are pretty ugly too - that's why it took me a long time to figure out the importance of looks in dating.

Until a few year ago there was also a height limit to be admitted to the police academy(5'9 or taller), but they removed it after the European Union forced us because they considered it discriminatory, so now you have some really laughable cops doing police work(short, out of shape, women, etc.).

No the shortest would be in the Western Mediterranean. The closer you get to the Atlantic the shorter Meds get (weird because they are two countries away from the Netherlands)

Romos are short though. The tall ones do stand out. Of course tall ones exist just like everywhere and Romania is in proximity to taller countries. The more Slav looking Romanians are tall. The more Dinaric looking ones are more short and ethnic.

Average height in Romania is 5’10 which is the same as US. The reason is policemen are a bunch of short incels
