Why does anyone get a hair transplant?

Seriously, can anyone here who has had one here, or researched extensively, enlighten me?

I'm looking at some pictures of transplants people dropped absolute racks on - and they're going from "why didn't you already shave your head" to some scraggly, slow growing NW3. All I can think is congrats, you went from NEEDING to shave, to looking like you're GOING to need to in a year or two instead, which is almost equally as bad imo.

Is there some reason hair systems haven't just completely put hair transplants out of business? Seriously asking because they look so good now that I see absolutely no reason why anyone would ever get a transplant over a system.

Hair systems can look amazing, but there's still that 1% chance that someone will notice which is enough to put most people off

Hair transplants (i'm looking to get one soon) often need a second transplant to get good density. Some people get lucky, though and get a fairly thick looking result from 1 procedure.

Depends. If you are nw 6 a HT won't be able to do much for you. If you just got widows peaks and a nw 3 you'll be able to benefit from a HT.
Furthermore the HT might be cheaper and more comfortable in the long run.

For sure, I guess if it you're really worried about the 1% discovering it then it can totally make sense. I guess I'm just not so concerned with that 1%, and have heard anecdotal stories of people being very up close and yet still not realizing it was a wig. Good luck with your transplant brother

Makes total sense

after major hair loss, if your donor area is weak, not enough to cover whole scalp so you'll still go to nw3 from nw7. so Hair system is more plausible.

I will soon go for a hair system, cause my hairline and my natural hair in general are shit. Hair transplants are fine for covering the top of the scalp, but most suck at the hairline.

Only real drawback is that I will probably not be able to do wakeboarding with it as falling head first into the water @30km/h probably will rip it off my head or at least fuck up the hairline.

you only need fin after hairtransplat IF you still have original DHT susceptible hair. if not you donr need to but coverinf whole scalp will be impossible with donor area. if you are nw7 fuck ht go hs

Small price to pay imo. My hairline has slowly become worse this past year and hoping that fin, min and dermaneedling can regrow it to NW 1.5-1 from 2 that was going to 3, but if not I will probably get hs.

If you aren't balding but have a natural high forehead what's better a hair transplant or hairline lowering

I got sides from fin and am low t skinny anyway, so it would have probably not even worked.
I am on trt now to improve my body, so I kind of gave up my natural hair

@Yuyevon is hair system slayer

can you shower with a hairsystem and can a girl pull your hair with one?

I have heard stories of people with them enjoying them in both those ways with nobody being keen to it, which is actually literally the only reason I considered a literal wig as a potential option for people losing their hair
