What are you on about exactly OP? you are describing literally auschwitz leanness (sub 8% bf)

being low bf increases your testosterone, makes you more athletic and more

Super lean as in sub 8% auschwitz yes. But ideal body fat for men is ~12% and it's nothing but benefits.

You will look gaunt at 12 bro. During wrestling season my friend lost slot of weight and he didn't even get a six pack but he looked like 2 different people before and after season

It is a weird one. I would say that the media pushing more lean bodies as attractive is the main reason.

Biologically I think that a leaner body shows that the man doesn't need to store food and can get access to resources readily and more easily. A fatter body shows that they have to eat every last bite of a meal they found so that they can survive the week until they can find the next meal. (I'm not an expert or anything, this is just a theory)
