found a BB cream that fits my skin tone but its always patchy or flaky that makes it obvious I'm wearing make up

I tried applying light moisturizer before hand but that doesn't fix the problem. Should I buy a primer or sum shit?

What is causing this? I use tret, hydroquinone, azelaic acid and moisturizer at night if that helps. Not in the morning tho, just light moisturizer and sunscreen sometimes

it's probably the unevenness of your underlying skin
the grooves are too deep for bb cream to fully cover it

grooves = A groove in the skin is a narrow, linear depression that can be a natural skin fold or result from conditions like scarring, infections, or certain diseases.

underlying skin = your skin under the bb cream

idk I remember u helping me about a make up thread and decided to tag u
maybe try another brand or one that suits oily/dry skin
so you think its the brands fault?

i feel like its cuz my skin is dry from retinols or I'm applying it wrong

had the same problem. try applying some sort of high moisturizing product before applying the Bbcream.

for instance i use a skin oil that doesn’t clog the pores then apply bb cream. also adds a natural glow this way

Thanks for the tip man

So that fixed it for you? I think I’m applying it wrong because I apply it like moisturizer just rubbing it when your supposed to pat it apparently

you’re supposed to tap it in retard not smear it

yeah it completely fixed it. i had the same exact problem as u where it was flaky. normal moisturizer then bb cream isn’t enough to make it look non flaky and natural. try moisturizer-> skin oil -> bb cream. should fix it

i don’t think the way you apply it really matters. as long as you make sure you blend all of your skin

Thanks man I’ll try that

You are putting on bb cream without moisturizing first.
