I mean, this is a lazy and euphemistic way to call anyone "Mestizo" or "brown".
There is much more diversity in this region but Anglos and even Latin Americans themselves use the wild card word "Latino".
I mean, Ricky Martin is Latino but he's not brown. Ludwika Paleta is Latina but blonde and white. Johnny Laboriel was Latino but he was black. Armando Manzanero was Hispanic but just because he spoke Spanish in lifetime, racially was a pure Indigenous Mexican. Most Latin Americans look like Tenoch Huerta or César Chávez but they usually are low class people shitting kids a lot and working in menial jobs like low-paid factories (maquiladoras) and also in tianguis (kinda "flea market").
"Latina" (aka Mestiza and, less likely, Mulatta) are more likely to pursuit foreigner white men but they will still fuck (Mestizo and Mulatto) Chadriguez and Edgar on the side.
It's over if autistic, Castizo and short in Latin America.
