This predates even the woke era and it's been this way for literally decades.
It seems like nearly every successful female writer became famous for writing either erotica or children's books. Rowling and Stephenie Meyer are the best examples but far from the only ones. Even when foid authors attempt writing genre books, be it sci-fi, fantasy, etc, they still manage to turn it shitty romance somehow. Legit foids authors are rare.
This is actually one of the reasons I came to distrust mainstream reviewers and publishers long before I dipped my toes into the various cultural Marxist and Jewish conspiracy shit. Female authors are put on a pedestal by critics and media and flaws in their works are overlooked. I can't trust anything mainstream media says about books or authors. And it was already like this even before they got woke.
