yes but the root of wanting to compete is being envious of the winner. you cannot compete if you dont seriously want what they have, whether is be status, money, looks, women. for example taking the blackpill is giving up on being envious of people and instead the main driver of life becomes resentment and hatred which are still really powerful emotions but are not compatible with most environments in the modern world. lead to jail death etc...

Resentment and hatred when the competition is over is being a sore loser, and sore losers are the ones who end up in jail or dead. But the competition is only over in our minds.
