I don't think it's about kindness per se. It seems to have more to do with agreeableness. Girls throughout my life have never tried to push so many boundaries with me, because I'm stubborn as fuck and wear it on my sleeve. They already know how it's gonna go if they try to get me to go along with any kind of bullshit, so most times they never even try. They like that. It's attractive by default according to their programming.

A person who's agreeable to the point of going against their own interests is just unattractive in the minds of women.

This might be because they correlate agressiveness with strength, because as you were saying only somebody who is strong enough, will have the capability for aggressive behaviour (disagreeableness)
They fail to realise that being good (not to be conflated with kind), being fair.. is much much harder and stronger than being aggressive. Aggresiveness is surface level strength. True strength lies in strong moral integrity
