Why girls want you more when you ignore them?

I feel like this is very weird maybe because they are still teenage girls. But, I swear they like you more if you pay them little attention. If they already like you a little, this will make them like you even more.

The funny thing is even when they have many guys giving them attention. They will still try to get your attention. When it doesn't work they would start sulking then come back later to try again. Until, they just eventually give up. These are pretty girls in their prime years. I feel like they are so insecure sometimes. Trying get attention form 1 guy when they have multiple guys talking to them daily. It's pretty funny and sad at the same time.

I don't know if they actually like me or just find it as something to conquer to boost their already inflated ego. Can anyone with more experience help me with this?

When girls get attention, they have leverage or the “upper hand”.
It signals you have nothing better to do except talk to her and give her attention.
Therefore, they will feel you are weak and show you less interest in you when you constantly** give her attention.

It’s the opposite when you don’t give her attention, so you have the leverage now.

And don’t fake not giving her attention just because of this, genuinely make yourself busy.
