unfinished but i have to upload it now
This is my longest thread yet so if you have short attentionspan don't bother to DNR nobody will rep you.
There's a lot to say but if it isn't relevant i will limit it as much as possible.
Pictures of the characters and for clarification:
John:____Harold Tassiter:_____ Helios (completed): _____________ Handsome Jack:
claptrap:__________ colonel zarpedon:
First of all, Handsome Jack may not be handsome and good looking in PSL but it's just the way the game's art style is.
Envision his face as perfect in real life (that's what it is in the series).
Backstory:
Jack's parents were abusive, which deeply affected him and contributed to his eventual descent into villainy.
His father was abusive, and his mother suffered from mental illness. At some point, Jack ended up killing his father.
This act is often implied to have been in self-defense or revenge for the abuse, though the exact details aren't explicitly laid out in the games.
His mother left him in the 'care' of her mother, Jack's grandmother, who was physically abusive towards her grandson.
The emotional trauma from these events was strong enough that as an adult, Jack had his grandmother killed (in BL2).
Jack also hit his own mother when he was younger and his daughter accidentally killed his wife. He later remarried but divorced.
He had a girlfriend 'Moxxi' but she broke up with him before the events.
In BL2 he does have a girlfriend (Nisha from TPS a playable Vault Hunter) (who you kill aswell).
Borderlands The Pre-Sequel:
Small side-note: you can play as his doppelganger Timothy Lawrence (you can be basically him).
The game starts with you landing on Helios. The Hyperion space station which is still under construction.
John is a low level programmer for Hyperion, a weapon corporation. His real name is 'John' and that's what his boss calls him in a condescending tone.
His boss Mr. Tassiter bullies him, just like he does with everybody else, and blames Jack for all the problems Helios has.
The station is under attack by the Lost Legion under command of Zarpedon. They want the laser to open up Pandora's moon Elpis and blow it up.
(irrelevant why, i won't elaborate)
Tassiter furious, commands John to take back control of Helios. Luckily there has just landed a Vault Hunter, you.
He fires John even when Helios was his idea in the first place and keeps talking down on him calling him
'hideous', 'ugly', 'pathetic', 'a nobody' 'a codemonkey' and combinations of them.
All while he keeps on attempting to gain back control of the laser: the Eye of Helios.
Now finally, John stands up for himself and he stops being afraid to hold his ground against him.
Eventually John grows so tired of his verbal abuse he says if Tassiter says one more word he'll kill him.
Tassiter keeps on and John says "okay i'm gonna kill you."
During the take-back Jack codes cleaning and maintenance loader bots with an experimental code turning them into fighters and self-exploding bots.
This is the 'origin story' of his massive bot army in BL2.
Helios now secured again John intends use the laser to blow a hole in Elpis to get to the vault.
John now revealing his true psychopathic and power hungry self gets betrayed by his friends.
He now grows even more insane and after gaining the Vaults power, he plans on executing his master plan.
Starting with Tassiter. In an echo log in BL2 you can hear him ask Tassiter the difference between choking and strangulation.
Here 's what happens after; BL TPS main story ending.
Borderlands the Pre-Sequel; Claptastic Voyage:
In the DLC post main game story, you retrieve something powerful, a code deeply hidden in Claptrap by Tassiter.
John is now transformed into Handsome Jack.
Opening:
The Vault Hunter enters Claptrap's mind and retrieves the H-source (what you're looking for).
Jack in the beginning of the main game already shows his hate for the Claptrap units, calling it amazing when one gets shot dead.
He also says he already knows what to do with the H-source once he retrieves it. (killing all Claptrap units)
Claptrap (the main character one) survives because you unleashed Shadowtrap in him (a bad code emprisoned) while getting to the H-source.
Ending:
Now we get to the real part;
Borderlands2:
Handsome Jack is now in control of the entirety of Hyperion, titan among the corporations.
The laser, the Eye of Helios is gone but he can still use moonshots (giant rockets) and send Loader Bots from Helios all the way to Pandora,
the planet which he rules now (and Elpis).
The mysterious girl from BL1 who helps you the whole game appears to be his daughter, Angel.
She now betrays you and lowers your bases shields while Jack sends tons of moonshots killing many.
She was forced to so she still helps you, in the end you kill her because she is a siren and killing her stops Jack from charging the key to open the vault.
(He captures Lilith anyways so you kill his daughter practically for nothing.)
The prototype code of TPS has now given Hyperion the biggest army of all.
(in the clip there are psychos between the Hyperion troops but ignore them)
He is widely respected and admired by everyone even when he regularly literally spits on people, breaks their nosebridges by headbutting them,
bullies them ,calling them names and humiliates them. Mostly his own employees, they love him even more for it.
(further reinforced by Tales From the Borderlands)
Like Rhys in the beginning of TFTB says: "I guess it all started with a promotion, see I'd spent my entire career at Hyperion.
So I suppose I was one of the bad guys in this story. And Handsome Jack, he was the baddest guy of them all."

(in TFTB Jack is already dead but more on that further in the thread.)
Jack is the boss, he knows it. he sees himself as some kind of god even. No-one compares to him, in a literal way too.

His dialogue in the game is perfect, in every single way.
He sounds like how a villain should sound. More on that later.
Jack even builds his own city: Opportunity. Why wouldn't he? He can do anything now. He starts to idealize the world around him in real life.
Following his vision and his only. And of course the place has his face all over it.

EVERYTHING he builds has his face on it. Statues, paintings, holograms you are FORCED to watch his face.
You are FORCED to be looked DOWN upon. And Jack only wants the best of the best of everything.
All must face his greatness and acknowledge it. It's his face, his signature which makes something perfect. For example his CEO office:

More later in the Handsome Jackpot.
In the end ofcourse, you have to kill him. He dies still thinking and saying he's the hero.
You have the option to either shoot him or let Lilith kill him.
Bonus dialogue:
extra appearances:
-Tales from the Borderlands/ Handsome Jack returns:
Jack returns as an AI after a professor in BL TPS made him an ai, its a laughable miserably failed one but
Nakayama apparently did perfection it or made an improved one.
These next two are long clips but sum it up perfectly i'm running out of time sorry.
In the end Rhys sets Helios for a crash course and finally destroys Jack, forever.
-Borderlands 3: Moxxi's Heist of the Handsome Jackpot:
the trailer on its own shows enough.
Jack is long gone, but he left some things behind. Like his casino. Best DLC of that game.
Way more detailed look of his face too.
Jack also appears as the "Handsome Sorcerer" in a BL2 DLC but its not really the same character so i excluded it.
Handsome Jacks looks:
His biggest asset is his heterochromia. He's got one blue eye and one green. The best you could wish for.
He's tall with a nice cut and fancy clothes. Slender but no muscle.
Handsome Jacks characteristics:
Handsome Jack is so full of himself and justifiably so. He is so arrogant but he has the right to.
He's handsome, loved, hated, famous and respected while being a genius. Being loved and hated at the same time by the same people is the ultimate chad trait.
You as the player also learn to love to hate him.
Jack even makes fun of "mouthbreathers" lol.
what you need to learn from this:
why act like a slave if you're chad, a chad is only chad if he acknowledges himself and behaves as one.
If you have an advantage take it, if you're blessed with something make use of it.
If you see a perfect chance, TAKE IT. Dont ever doubt it. Act like you should, be charming and charismatic.
This is in no way advertisement or anything. I do recommend you play the games since they are my favourites and are very well made.
This will be my final thread for some time. Hope you enjoyed the thread though it being rushed
