I can bet I'm like the most experienced dude out there when it comes to fitness, I've fucking done it all, calisthenics training as a teen, athletics when I competed in volleyball, powerlifting (failed miserably at the 3 competitions I attended), bodybuilding (again, failed miserably), then I started doing athletics again because I started doing jiu-jitsu (have yet to win a single competition either).
In retrospect, the only physical endeavor where I'm not average at best was volleyball and calisthenics, but that's another topic. After trying too many things, and gathering so much knowledge from different styles of training, and trying to extrapolate that idea into the context of physical attraction, I realized something: Women don't give a fuck how much you bench or how big you are (WOWWWW SHOCKER RIGHT? Face mogs, of course, but that's not my point).
I kind of had to move away from jiu-jitsu because of college life, and having to become an adult now, so of course, my training has to adjust too. I'm only training 45 minutes 4x/week on an Upper Lower split, and doing some HIIT 2x/week.
And I believe this is what's ideal for the majority of people or even less, I fucking hate gym culture, I fucking hate sports, because looking back at them, they were a waste of my time, unless you have an actual passion for them or want to make a career out of them, don't even bother. If you're doing gym or calisthenics for pure appeal, then just bulk and cut your way to 10-12% body fat and a BMI of between 23 and 25, because that's what the scientific research shows is the most attractive.
I went from being very muscular to being "athletic" at best with full intention I made myself smaller, because my maintenance intake was just too boresome to continue and my training decreased. I CAN GUARANTEE that you do not give a single flying fuck what your bench is or if you look like David Laid, you're acting like you do out of imitation, not from passion.
This whole post was basically just me yapping about water shit nobody cares, but the idea I was trying to convey is: Don't waste your time in the gym or chasing long-term body goals in the context of looksmaxxing, the most scientifically attractive physiques, which will appeal to the majority of people can't be obtained in less than 3 years and maintained for pretty much the rest of your life, and specially if you're doing this purely for aesthetics, don't fucking waste your time worrying about getting your bench or your squat up, because it doesn't matter. There are actually so many things that are worth your time more, while you're wasting your time in the gym, GET A JOB, LEARN A SKILL, that will take you so much further, even in terms of attraction than any of this BS.
Please do not DNR me to oblivion
