Most on here know that i am of Indian descent.

However, most on here need to realise my ancestors were former slaves that were persecuted in India for essentially being subhuman (aboriginal descendants) and denied opportunities.

So they were shipped off to Guyana by the British to South America to work on the British plantation fields.

Now im here in the UK

So why the fuck would i want anything to do with the race that actively discriminated against my ancestors to the point they had to leave the country?

Tldw: my ancestors were Guyanese indians that were persecuted in India.

I am but theres a distinction i am trying to make.

My ancestors were ostracised in india and ended up working in Guyana for better opportunities.

I see your point tbh

should the native brazilians hate the euro rapebaby portuguese brazilians as well then? lol

Brazil doesn’t have a caste system
it doesn’t matter, it’s not in practice but clearly the whites over there enjoy a higher social standing so there is some sort of class difference due to race/ethnicity, do you see any whites in a favela?

so by his logic, native brazilians should hate the portuguese brazilians, balkan turks should hate the central asians etc etc

why should you hate someone for something their ancestors did a few hundred years ago? unless it’s a CURRENT problem, it is misdirected anger

I should of clarified "hate" isnt the right word.

What i meant was that i don't feel i have any connection with mainland India, its people , culture, or current problems.

Overall i dont have any obligation to care for them they are not my people.

You are correct hating a group of people for past events is retarded (even though blacks do it all the time for slavery).

The caste system in India prevented marriage between different castes for hundreds of years. By comparison, the european colonisation of LatAm is a relatively newer concept. Castes are much more rigid than racial differences.

And yes this is a current problem. In the cities you won’t find lower castes being openly discriminated against but in small towns and villages, casteism is rampant. Death to all upper caste Hindu Dindus tbh
