Why Implants Fail ?

Since majority of patients don't want to share their pre-op/post-op we don't know what's actually happening, but the 1. picture for example somehow doesn't look natural.
Can you tell me why ? Is it about near 90 degree post op or is it about facial harmony ?
Some of them looks unnatural because lack of zygo implant i guess. If your zygos too flat, getting jaw implant makes you look somehow weird.

2.&3. is a filler result i guess and looks pretty natural and attractive. Is it because the gonial angle like ~ 110 degree ?
4. one is far too much. But still there are men like this naturally. Why this doesn't look natural ?

So if it looks like natural , it doesn't look good enough i guess.

Cos there recessed, they need jaw surgery than consider implants. Most of them look good, it only looks bad if you're already recessed.

Ik thats what im saying without recession it still looks good, if you were to see those guys post op, they would look normal. Most of us wouldn't be able to tell, but jaw surgery is better imo

Implants can be done correctly. They normally fail either because 1) they are treating a problem that could be better solved by something else, 2) the patient asks for a result which they do not understand looks comical, or 3) the surgeon has no understanding of aesthetics.

This last case looks comical because not much thought was put into making the work look natural -- the implant itself is too large, making the zygomas less prominent; normally, someone with a wide jaw has a wide palate to accompany it. Likewise, the chin was made wider than his lips. The result would look more natural had he also done MSE.

Another problem is more noticeable from the side view: normally the mandible is wider at certain points. The implant was designed to be too smooth and appears unnaturally even along its curve.

This is why it's important to find a surgeon who knows what looks good.

It's about facial harmony.

Yes, they are looking unnatural not just because of flat zygos but because of recessed jaws too. The first one has recessed jaws. I feel jaw implants should be like a covering (or to augment little if any after osteotomy work,after jaw surgery)

I personally prefer 130°angle. The first guy with filler results has 120°angle I believe.
And nothing beats fillers
And each has it's own pros and cons

They look bad if rest of the face is ugly.. You can't put a BMW bumper on Honda and think it will look nice.

• I have an assymetric jaw due to birth defection. (like in the picture, not because of masseter. it's because one right side's jaw is a bit arrow than the other side of jaw.) There is no correction with surgery except side wings. And i don't thing side wing is better than implant.
  
• Also i have kinda narrowish jaw and that's making me chubby on cheeks.
• My jaw angle is like 130~140 gonial angle.
  I don't have any recession, i have pretty good forward growth. (i measure myself like in the picture.)

• Also i have low uee, and making no scleral. I can say i have a decent eye area including brow ridge and orbital rim.
• My chin is kinda pointy but not short. Chin/Philtrum ratio is 2.25.
• My fwhr is 1.80.
• My zygos are is okay. Not prominent but not flat or recessed.

So in paper i would look far more attractive if i get an implant but in my photoshop morps, i don't look good from front if i would have a custom wraparound implant. I look pretty attractive from side though, i don't know why.

So basically i'm trying to calculate what a man needs to have to get a better result with an implant.
What to avoid , what to have etc.

thank you for nice message but i don't have actual problems with my face. i mean i just want to better symetric face since it's possible with implants and it's not too risky surgery to have it.

Btw this guy is really resembles me except i have worse gonial angle (130~140) and longer chin than him. His chin/philtrum ratio is 1,58, mine 2.25.
